Full-Time Bookkeeper (Accounting)

Krause Estate Planning & Elder Law Center is seeking an experienced full-charge Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist to join our firm. This is a unique opportunity to step into a well-established role at a growing law firm that values collaboration, integrity, and excellence.

The Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist II independently manages payroll and core bookkeeping functions for the firm. This role ensures compliance with payroll and tax laws, reconciles accounts, and oversees accounts payable and receivable.

Independently process payroll, including wage calculations, deductions, garnishments, and direct deposits

Monitor computer-generated reports for errors, troubleshoot discrepancies, and reconcile payroll issues

Maintain and update master payroll records, including tax exemptions, benefits, and loan payments

Record employee transfers, wage adjustments, and other personnel-related payroll changes

Prepare and file periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions

Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments, client billing support, and reconciliations

Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for attorney/management review

Ensure compliance with applicable payroll/tax regulations and firm accounting policies

2-5 years of general office, accounting, and payroll experience; legal experience is highly preferred

Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, during regular business hours. While this role offers the flexibility to work remotely, we prefer candidates within a reasonable commuting distance of Oregon, WI, as occasional in-office work may be necessary.
