Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs
American Traveler is seeking a PICU Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of PICU/NICU experience for a night shift position supporting critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients.
Pediatric and neonatal respiratory care across NICU, PICU, emergency department, and pediatric/adult acute and intermediate care units
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 7:15
May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals per unit policy
Epic EMR experience preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience required, with PICU or NICU experience required
BLS and RRT certification required
Epic charting experience required for consideration
Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
Experience with neonatal/pediatric equipment including CPAP, high frequency ventilators, and oxygen therapy devices
Experience with medication delivery systems and administration of respiratory medications

COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions
Perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood sampling, bedside spirometry, and point of care testing
Apply age-specific care approaches in line with Family Centered Care Program principles
Assist and train other Respiratory Care Practitioners, students, and healthcare team members
Complete required competency testing and in-services to maintain scope of practice
Chart and charge for all services provided per hospital policy
First-time travelers will be considered for this unit
Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Travel Respiratory Therapist - PICU RT
