Insurance Defense Associate Attorney (1-3 Years Experience)
Must be Florida-barred and reside in or near the Tampa area.
An AV-rated insurance defense law firm is seeking a motivated Insurance Defense Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of litigation experience to join our Tampa office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to gain hands-on litigation experience while working alongside experienced trial attorneys in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of bodily injury defense matters from inception through resolution.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and reports to insurance carriers.
Conduct legal research and analysis using Westlaw and other legal resources.
Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
Attend hearings, mediations, and court conferences.
Develop litigation strategy and provide case evaluations and recommendations.
Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and the court.
Qualifications
Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
1-3 years of litigation experience; insurance defense preferred.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Experience handling discovery and drafting substantive motions.
Excellent organizational, communication, and case management abilities.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team-oriented practice group.
