Block by Block is seeking to hire an Operations Supervisor to provide oversight of our Ambassador Team.

Our Ambassador programs make communities and Downtown Business Improvement Districts much friendlier, cleaner, and safer. The Operations Supervisor position is the "Lead Ambassador" in charge of all aspects of our program, including personnel management, equipment management, and resource management, along with deployments of the team.

Ability to use Microsoft Office suites + Teams REQUIRED

Specific daily responsibilities of the Operations Supervisor may include:

Onboarding and training of all new Ambassadors. Continual adjustments to the deployment of resources to match changing needs. Continual problem identification and solving to improve the quality of the program. Purchasing and inventory of supplies and equipment.

Hands-on working manager in the field to provide coaching, mentoring, and continuous training on standard policies and procedures.

WE ARE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERTS who engage on a very high level with the general public, so we need great personalities to lead our teams. You know what Quality Assurance means...You know how to manage people and work in a team setting. (Team building and creating a culture is very important to us)

Event support is a must, and the Operations Supervisor will need to lead the team during event seasons.

Requirements Professionalism: Must maintain a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and overall Block by Block standards of expected professionalism.

Physical Abilities: Must have the physical capacity to walk continuously during an eight hour shift, with normal breaks (two fifteen minutes, and one thirty minute meal break). Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear.

Communication: Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in order to create basic reports.

Computer Skills: Must be proficient in computer usage and in Microsoft Office products.
