Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Welder (2nd Shift). The hourly rate for this position is $24/hr + $1/hr shift differential per hour.

What you’ll do: MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding

Perform work from manufacturing information, bills of material, written and/or oral instructions.

Utilize manufacturing information, determine necessary parts/inventory, jigs/fixtures, and obtain materials from stock areas

Provide assistance to other sheet metal fabricators/operators in performance of their duties as required

Be responsible to deliver material to/from workstations using material handling equipment, position work material on work surface. Ensure correct parts and matching documentation reach next process in a timely fashion

Operate spot welders and interface with robotic welding

Operate spot welders, arc welders, cutting torch, power grinder, power sanders, hand-tools, bandsaws, drills, temporary fixturing devices, jigs and fixtures, and other metal‑fabrication equipment as directed.

Inspect parts periodically or as directed utilizing manufacturing information such as drawings / blueprints, make necessary adjustments as required. Inform Supervisor of any quality problems

Be responsible for maintenance of equipment such as welding electrodes, oiling/greasing, machine settings, changing of tooling, and minor adjustments may be necessary.

Perform other duties as required including flexing to other departments.

Required (Basic) Qualifications Must have a High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution

Minimum of one (1) year of MIG and TIG welding experience or a technical diploma or certification in welding from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications Experience demonstrating proficiency of welding techniques, shop blueprint/drawing comprehension, and shop math skills

Minimum of two (2) years of welding experience

Able to move material as needed using material handling carts (push/pull 50lbs)

Team player and able to collaborate with others to effectively complete work assignments per customer orders

Willingness to participate in training opportunities
