Manufacturing EngineerImportant Schedule RequirementThis is a fully onsite position.The selected candidate must be willing and able to work a rotating shift schedule consisting of:Monday–Friday, Day ShiftFollowing 6 months: Monday–Friday, Night ShiftCandidates who are unable to support this rotating day/night schedule will not be considered for the position.Position SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading end-to-end manufacturing process development and supporting new product launch activities while ensuring alignment with safety, quality, delivery, and business objectives. This role applies advanced manufacturing engineering principles to optimize production processes, improve equipment performance, and drive operational excellence.The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader, partnering with cross-functional teams to develop scalable manufacturing solutions, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and support the successful launch and production of new products. This position requires strong collaboration skills, hands-on manufacturing expertise, and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions.Key ResponsibilitiesManufacturing Process DevelopmentLead end-to-end manufacturing process development for assigned programs and projectsDesign, develop, and implement manufacturing processes that support safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectivesEstablish standardized manufacturing methods, work instructions, and best practicesEvaluate and optimize equipment performance to support efficient and scalable production operationsSupport manufacturing readiness activities for new product introductions and launch programsLaunch & Production SupportSupport Vehicle/Product Introduction (VPI) and launch activitiesIdentify and resolve manufacturing challenges during prototype, pilot, and production phasesCoordinate manufacturing resources to support project timelines and production requirementsCollaborate with engineering, quality, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure successful implementation of manufacturing processesContinuous ImprovementChampion continuous improvement initiatives utilizing established manufacturing systems, tools, and methodologiesDrive waste reduction, productivity improvements, quality enhancements, and cost savingsUtilize structured problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes and implement corrective actionsLeverage data-driven decision making to improve manufacturing performanceEquipment & Tooling OptimizationSupport equipment selection, implementation, and optimization activitiesDevelop and improve tooling, fixtures, and workstation layoutsApply ergonomic principles to improve operator safety and productivityEvaluate manufacturing technologies and recommend process improvementsTechnical Leadership & CollaborationServe as a technical resource and subject matter expert for manufacturing processesProvide guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing to team members and stakeholdersBuild strong working relationships with internal departments and external partnersInfluence project decisions and drive alignment across cross-functional teamsCoordinate internal and external resources to ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within scopeRequired QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in:Manufacturing EngineeringMechanical EngineeringIndustrial EngineeringOr a related technical disciplineExperienceMinimum of 5 years of manufacturing engineering experienceExperience supporting manufacturing process development and continuous improvement initiativesExperience supporting new product introduction or launch activities in a manufacturing environmentTechnical SkillsExperience with Fanuc HandlingTool or Fanuc ArcToolStrong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentationExperience developing manufacturing processes, tooling, and production methodsKnowledge of manufacturing systems, equipment, and process optimization techniquesExperience with structured problem-solving methodologies and root cause analysisProfessional SkillsStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersStrong analytical and decision-making capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyDemonstrated leadership and project coordination skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting automated manufacturing environmentsExperience with robotics integration, programming, or troubleshootingExperience supporting high-volume manufacturing operationsFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologiesExperience developing workstation layouts and ergonomic improvementsCore CompetenciesManufacturing Process Design & OptimizationContinuous ImprovementDrawing Interpretation & GD&TProject Management & ExecutionRoot Cause Analysis & Problem SolvingEquipment & Tooling DevelopmentCross-Functional CollaborationSafety & ErgonomicsData Analysis & Decision MakingTechnical LeadershipWork EnvironmentFully onsite manufacturing environmentFrequent interaction with production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teamsExposure to manufacturing equipment, machinery, and production operationsAbility to support both day and night shift operations as required by the rotating scheduleEOE (including Disability/Veterans)
