Welder (Nights) - Paid Weekly

Job Title: Structural Welder

Join our team as a 3rd Shift Fabricator, where you will build and weld structural steel products such as columns, beams, and stairs according to specifications on blueprints. This position involves working with various materials, shaping, and welding them to ensure they meet quality standards and are ready for installation.

Read and interpret blueprints for building structural steel products.

Review the quality of work to ensure structures are ready for installation.

Cut, size, shape, and bend materials, tack them into place, and weld them.

Ensure stairs or handles are prepared for job site arrival.

Proficiency in structural welding and MIG welding.

Experience in fabrication and reading blueprints.

Attention to detail and quality control skills.

2+ years' experience in MIG welding or iron workers union welding.

• Union welding experience preferred.
• AWS and AISC Manufacturing experience would be advantageous.

This is a fully on-site position within a fabrication shop environment, which can be dirty. Personal protective equipment such as jeans, work-appropriate shirts, steel-toed boots, weld helmets, and safety glasses are required. The current location is small, with 15-20 people, but there are plans to move to a larger site, offering future leadership opportunities. The 3rd shift operates Monday to Thursday from 6 PM to 6 AM. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlisle, IA.
