Our rapidly growing, 6-doctor practice is part of a 14-doctor, 3-location practice group that is looking to add additional veterinarians. Our Stafford location has 1 small animal doctor and 4 mixed animal doctors and is looking to add another mixed animal doctor. Our clientele allows us to practice progressive, high‑quality medicine, dentistry and surgery on all species and we have the equipment to support it. In‑house blood machines, UA analyzer, high‑end digital X‑ray and ultrasound, complete soft‑tissue and orthopedic capabilities, endoscopy, shockwave, power floats and pretty much any other piece of equipment you would need. We perform a lot of surgeries from spay/neuters to ACLs, C‑sections, bloats, you name it. You would have the opportunity to learn these skills if interested. Our large animal service is supported by 3 ambulatory trucks. We also have a very large dedicated large animal treatment area complete with equine stocks, a horse stall and misc. pens for small ruminants. Our equipment is great, but our culture is matched by none! We work up and manage all difficult medicine cases in house, and we also will see any and all emergencies. We maintain great relationships with surrounding emergency and referral practices and rescues. We also host many in‑house custom CE programs presented by area specialists.

Pay is dependent on experience and abilities. New graduates typically start on salary and have the option to switch to production at any time to maximize your earning potential. We also offer a generous signing bonus and relocation expense reimbursement.

The position is 75% small animal (dogs and cats with some exotics), and 25% large animal. Large animals are about 70% equine, 20% small ruminants and the last 10% are camelids, cattle and pigs. Working a 4‑day schedule that means 3 days of small animal and 1 day of large animal each week. Mixed animal doctors participate in an on‑call rotation. When you are on‑call over the weekend you get 2 days off the following week. The ideal candidate would have an open mind for treating all species with a zest for continued learning and growth in all disciplines. We would encourage and support your professional interests. All you have to do is commit to keep trying to become a better veterinarian.

This position is for our Stafford Springs location. We also have hospitals in Tolland and Ashford. We are right on the edge between suburban and rural living and are located within 20 minutes of anything you like to do for fun.
