Material Handler Inventory Warehouse

Material Handler
Location : Houston, TX 77073
Duration: 1 year contract
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
The Material Handler is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient execution of warehouse and material handling activities while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret instructions, correspondence, and work documents.
Apply basic mathematical skills to daily warehouse operations.
Receive inbound materials from suppliers and other locations using forklifts and pallet stackers.
Process receiving transactions and orders using warehouse management and administrative software systems.
Stock received materials, finished products, and assemblies in designated warehouse locations.
Pick materials, components, and finished goods and deliver them to production or shipping areas.
Perform cycle counts and inventory audits as required.
Prepare orders and materials for shipment to customers and vendors.
Support general warehouse operations and perform additional duties as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
Work independently while effectively managing assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications
Fluent in English and authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Previous forklift certification or experience operating forklifts and pallet stackers.
Ability to safely load and unload freight using a forklift.
Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
Experience with Oracle or similar inventory/ERP systems strongly preferred.
Strong commitment to quality, safety, and compliance in a warehouse environment.
Practical, hands-on problem-solving skills with a safety-first mindset.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Availability to work occasional weekends as needed
