Registered Nurse - ICU with Cardiac Experience
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our ICU unit, specializing in cardiac care. This position requires a commitment to high-quality patient care and a willingness to float to various units as needed. The RN will work closely with a dedicated team to manage both complex and critical cases in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to ICU patients, particularly those with cardiac conditions.
Float to PCU and Med Surg departments as required by patient census and unit needs.
Manage complex critical care equipment, including IABP and Impella.
Administer CRRT and monitor patients post-operative CABG procedures.
Ensure timely and accurate communication and documentation using the EPIC system.
Participate in team collaboration to enhance patient care and experience.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
A minimum of 2 years' ICU experience, with a strong focus on cardiac care.
Experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT is essential.
Proficiency in managing patients post-op CABG, particularly Day 2/Day 3.
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
Active NE or compact RN license in good standing is mandatory.
Pediatric experience is highly preferred.
Schedule
This is a 13-week contract position with a schedule of 12-hour night shifts (0600-1830 / 1800-0630). The RN will be expected to work every other weekend and may be required to take up to 2 additional mandatory shifts every 6 weeks.
