Essential Duties and Responsibilities Food Preparation: Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring food is nutritious, appetizing, and prepared according to dietary requirements and resident preferences.

Meal Service: Ensure meals are served in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of quality, portion control, and presentation.

Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment by following food safety and sanitation procedures. Ensure proper storage and handling of food supplies.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and quality service. Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed.

Assist with inventory management and help track food supplies. Resident Engagement: Respond to special dietary requests and accommodate residents’ food preferences, ensuring satisfaction with meals served.

Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including safe food handling and proper sanitation practices.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Previous cooking experience in a senior living, healthcare, or restaurant setting (preferred)

Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
