Welder - Full Time Welder

Welder Position in AlachuaWe are seeking welders in Alachua for a heavy industrial manufacturing facility. The position will be MIG welding steel and possibly aluminum as needed. The client is looking for candidates that can maneuver around their products easily and have clean welds.The position does require a weld test. Pay starts at $20, but depends on the weld test for higher starting pay.Shifts are Monday through Friday - 6am to 3:30pm.Under training and supervision, the Welder/Fitter will produce quality weldments in a timely manner within set parameters and tolerances. Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms and parts using knowledge of welding techniques, and engineering requirements. Interpret blueprints and drawings to produce specific weldments.Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalentExperience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)Welding certification preferredAbility or experience reading a tape measure and interpret basic blueprints/drawings.Capability to build basic weldments.Basic computer knowledgeExcellent attention to detailA stable job historyWillingness to learnReliable transportationThis is a drug free workplace.
