Facilitator - Evenings & Weekends

The National Museum of Mathematics is pleased to announce the MoMath Functions Facilitator Fellowship program . A limited number of May 2026 graduates from around the country will be accepted for this highly selective, paid, year-long opportunity to work in museum administration at the National Museum of Mathematics, where they will:

Ensure all events in the Museum, particularly private events, meet and exceed expectations of excellence.
Serve as the first point of contact for potential clients and vendors.
Provide full customer service and administrative support related to venue sales, events, donors, and members.
Conduct research with a targeted focus to identify and cultivate potential clients.
Actively market the Museum space for events, working both directly and in collaboration with the communications team.
Respond to general inquiries and provide specific information about availability, features, restrictions, and contract terms.
Oversee planning and logistical needs related to event production, including meeting with clients and caterers on site as needed.
Work closely with the finance team to maintain and update client event files, ensure accurate and timely invoicing, track accounts receivable, and monitor revenue and expenses.
Collect and maintain required documentation from customers and vendors, including licenses, certificates of insurance, and hold harmless agreements.
Communicate with floor managers, staff, technology team, and other internal teams to ensure events are executed at a high level of excellence.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a 3.5 GPA or higher; Experience planning and running events; Ability to approach events through a customer service and fundraising lens.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Efficient administrative skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Flexibility in scheduling, including multiple evenings per week and some weekends, sometimes with short notice.
Authorization to work in the United States for 14 months without visa sponsorship from the Museum.
This is an hourly position paid at $20 per hour. Total compensation for the 2026–2027 fellowship program will be approximately $50,000, with roughly $47,000 paid during the program and a $3,000 completion bonus.
