JOB TITLE: PROGRAM DIRECTOR

COLLEGE POINT (QUEENS), NY

The Program Director is responsible for the overall administration of a 200+ bed women’s homeless shelter. Provides leadership for the day to day operation of the facility, as well as program accountability to ensure service goals are met or exceeded. Proof of covid 19 vaccine is required.

Overseesall program operations to ensure success of the program in meeting client needs.

Ensures compliance with DHS outcomesregardingplacements, long term stayers, placement retention, facility standards, as well asWesthab’sperformance and quality assurance measurements.

Oversees process, census, vocational services, case management,facilitiesand housing placement services.

Hires andreviewsperformance of all management staff.

Provides leadership and direction to management staff, including Director of Social Services, Facility Manager, Security Manager, and permanent housing placement staff ensuring support is in place to ensure the success of the shelter.

Interfaces with the community, neighborhoodassociationsand other local service providers.

Master’s Degree preferred, Bachelor Degree required in human services or related field. Strong administrative skills and an understanding of residential operations required; Experience in program management and knowledge of OTDA and DHS regulations required.
