Opportunity We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing the day‑to‑day execution of all HR functions while supporting strategic initiatives that align with MVE’s business objectives.
The HR Manager will oversee core HR functions including employee relations, performance management, compliance, and talent acquisition, and will directly oversee a Recruiter.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage and execute HR strategies, policies, and programs that support organizational goals.
Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
Lead talent acquisition efforts, managing and developing a recruiter, workforce planning, and hiring strategies.
Partner with leadership to identify talent needs and implement effective recruitment and retention strategies.
Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, with a strong focus on California labor laws (e.g., Administer and improve HR systems, processes, and policies to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
Track and analyze HR metrics (KPIs) to inform decision‑making and improve outcomes.
Partner cross‑functionally with leadership, operations, and finance teams to align HR initiatives with business needs.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and high‑performance work culture.
Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience Minimum 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.
Experience in multi‑site, multi‑state environments preferred.
Hands‑on experience managing talent acquisition functions and recruiting teams.
Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to navigate each department and the company’s facilities as needed.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% to support multi‑site operations.
