This is a 22-bed unit that cares for cardiac patients on telemetry monitoring. Diagnoses on this unit are primarily cardiac in nature, but the unit also cares for patients with a diverse variety of general medical illnesses. Because of this, our nurses develop a strong set of skills and knowledge that they can use to grow their career throughout the acute care environment.Responsibilities:Provides high-quality, patient-centered clinical carePerforms initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, utilizing appropriate dataCommunicates and documents assessment of patient with the interdisciplinary teamDevelops and documents plan of care, treatment, and services which is individualized and appropriate for the patient's needs, strengths, limitations and goalsComplies with organizational policies, procedures, and protocols, including policies governing safety, medication administration, and documentationRevises plan of care based on ongoing evaluations and updates documentation appropriatelyCompletes at least one clinical research utilization (CRU) form for submission to the Nursing Research Department utilizing a research article from the last 5 years from research performed in the United StatesCompletes a minimum of 5 nationally approved contact hours (CNE or CEU) per yearCompletes mandatory in-services and health screens in a timely mannerMaintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationRequired Qualifications:Diploma or Associate's Degree in NursingRegistered Nurse license in New York StateBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferredAt least 6 months of experience preferredEducation:AS: Nursing (Required)Licenses / Certifications:BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)Physical Requirements:M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.Pay Range:$38.66 - $51.91City: RochesterPostal Code: 14626The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant.
