RN Oncology Registered Nurse Nights

Registered Nurse – Hematology/OncologySchedule: 12-hour Day/Night rotating OR 12-hour Night shifts. Assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period with variable weekend requirements.Assignment Details: Contract length and guaranteed hours/week not specified.Requirements:Minimum 2 years total RN experience.Must have med-surg oncology experience.At least 1 inpatient hematology-oncology experience documented in work history.Experience with leukemia/blood dyscrasias required.Current acute care experience (active within last 12 months).Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted.Valid compact or state RN license required.Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ONS Chemo Certification.Preferred: NIHSS certification.Responsibilities:Provide inpatient care to adult and geriatric patients with hematology and oncology conditions.Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for adverse reactions.Manage blood product administration and electrolyte management.Utilize telemetry monitoring and recognize dysrhythmias.Recognize signs of sepsis and participate in Rapid Response team interventions.Implement infection prevention and falls prevention practices.Compliance / Notes: Orientation lasts 72 hours.
