Registered Nurse, RN - Full Time Weekend Position, Evening and Night Shift

Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Schedule: Days/Evenings, 5 x 8s, M - F 6:00 AM - 8:30 PM. Open to 4 x 10s. Schedule and start times rotate.
Assignment Details:

Contract Length: 10 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40.00
Requirements:

Current RN license in state of practice: Required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification: Preferred
One year previous full-time experience in the operating room: Required
Ortho, Neuro, and Trauma experience: Required
Roles & Responsibilities:

Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists and coordinate flow of equipment, supplies, and staff during surgical procedures.
Ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care.
Participate in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment.
Prepare patients for surgery, including safe and appropriate anatomical positioning.
Perform pre, intra, and post-procedure patient care planning and assessment.
Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials from operative procedures.
Compliance / Notes:

~ Call is at least 1 night per week and 1 weekend per schedule. Potentially more based on need.
