About the Position
Job Opportunity – Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 0645-1915 (36 hours per week)

• Cardiac telemetry unit with diverse case mix including post-surgical cardiac and vascular patients
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio with comprehensive interdisciplinary support
• Epic charting system with 24 hours of orientation provided
• Contract extensions available through February 27, 2027
• Weekend coverage: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period
• Float assignments as needed; no call required

Requirements:
Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact)
BLS and ACLS certification required
NIHSS certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of cardiac nursing experience required
Medical-Surgical/Telemetry/Step-down experience strongly preferred
First-time travelers accepted with qualifying cardiac experience
Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Willingness to work holidays and emergency storm/disaster teams as assigned
Clinical Focus:
Patient diagnoses include atrial fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, valve disorders, cardiomyopathy, vascular conditions, and post-procedural cardiac care
Procedures include CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, Watchman, vascular surgeries, post-catheterization care, and electrophysiology procedures
Equipment experience with arterial lines, Doppler, EKG, femoral sheaths, chest tubes, and pacing wires
Skills include dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac drip titration, sheath removal, and central line care
