Job Summary:

An ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse position is available in Washington, DC. This role involves caring for critically ill patients across a multidisciplinary unit utilizing advanced technology. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day.

Job Details:

Location: Washington, DC

Schedule: Nights (12-hour shifts), 3 x 12s, am/pm rotation, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district; ICU experience of at least 3 years; Cerner electronic medical record experience; Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; BSN degree (highly desired)

Preferred Qualifications: None specified

Float: Float rotation may be required

Additional Information: The ICU provides care for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients. Technology used includes ventilators, ventriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, CRRT, gastric tubes, and infusion pumps. The unit performs various patient care functions in accordance with licensure, certifications, training, and regulatory requirements.
