We’re supporting a growing international aerospace business with the appointment of a Buyer to join its North American operation in San Antonio.
The business is an established and highly respected supplier to the global aerospace industry, supporting major organisations across North America and Europe. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team with a strong reputation for quality, service and supply chain performance.
The role also offers a hybrid working arrangement and a half-day finish every Friday.
The Role
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you’ll take responsibility for tactical purchasing and supplier management, helping ensure continuity of supply while balancing cost, quality, delivery and inventory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing supplier performance against Quality, Cost & Delivery targets
Creating and managing purchase orders in line with MRP demand
Analysing demand and maintaining appropriate inventory levels
Building strong relationships across the supply base
Identifying supply chain risks, opportunities and market trends
Supporting supplier evaluations and audits
Ensuring suppliers maintain required industry standards
Supporting wider North American procurement activities
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
Procurement/purchasing experience
Supplier management and performance experience
Experience working within an MRP/ERP environment
Strong commercial and analytical skills
Confident communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience within aerospace, defence, aviation or a regulated engineering/manufacturing environment would be advantageous, particularly exposure to C-Class components, aerospace hardware or fasteners.
