Recognized for our entrepreneurial approach for over 65 years, our team of over 24,000 employees takes an ownership mindset, collaborating with customers to redefine what's possible.Position Summary: The CAD Designer works with engineers to provide design of components (3D & 2D) and assemblies to support operations and customer requirements for new and existing products. Creates, maintains and supports though accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), ERP Item master and product documentation.Apply CAD techniques to review engineering drawing, components, and assemblies Work as part of a dynamic team for engineering projects related to global and regional manufacturing programs. Design special / custom products using SolidWorks to meet design specifications. Provide accurate models, assemblies, and drawings for new product development and existing products. Creation and maintenance of Bill of Materials. Maintain SolidWorks PDM file system. Release Engineering Change Notices and process Engineering Change Requests. Perform administrative duties for the ECN process. Check drawings and layouts for accuracy, proper use of GD&T and tolerance stack up analysis. Participate in multifunctional teams, to interact with Sales, Quality and Manufacturing. Participate in DFM, DFA, DFS and design reviews when required Provides assistance & training to lower level employees.5 years related experience and/or training; Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Design software; Development software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Proficient with SolidWorks.
