HR/Recruiting Generalist

Under the supervision of the Executive Director of HR, the Human Resource Generalist works to:
Coordinates the hiring process.
Other duties may be assigned by the Executive Director of HR.

Keeps current with the charter school's Human Resource Policy and Procedures Manual and proactively gives recommendations regarding their appropriate use to the administration.
Assists with the training of all interviewers for proper interviewing techniques and compliance with all applicable laws.
Reviews employment applications and all associated documents for completeness and accuracy.
Informs newly hired personnel of job duties and responsibilities, compensation and benefits, work schedules and working conditions, policies, promotional opportunities, and other information.
Maintains records and provides reports as necessary regarding resumes, applicant flow, and employee selection (in computer database and files).
Schedules and attends on site Career Fairs as needed to expand the network of candidates for TBP.
Manages the various platforms necessary to attend the variety of virtual Career Fairs and recruits appropriate campus staff to attend.
Assists in reaching out to candidates using a variety of methods including social media, partnerships with universities, etc.
Compiles data from personnel records and prepares reports.
Performs reference and background checks on applicants and/or ensures such checks are done before hire.
Assists with the development and implementation of teacher retention strategies.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability and/or willingness to learn to use and understand Microsoft Office for spreadsheets, letters and other written communications in order to effectively communicate information with employees, administration and the Board.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
• One to two years of related experience and/or training.
