Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join our team onsite in Elk Grove Village, IL. The HR Specialist will support day-to-day HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, and HR administration while ensuring a positive employee experience and compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations.
Requirements

Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee documentation, and offboarding.
Source, screen, and coordinate interviews with candidates for open positions.
Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, contracts, and HR documentation.
Coordinate onboarding and ensure new employees complete all required paperwork and training.
Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace questions.
Assist with employee relations and address workplace concerns in a professional and confidential manner.
Monitor attendance, time-off requests, and other employee-related information.
Assist with performance reviews, employee development, and training initiatives.
Ensure HR practices comply with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate HR data.
Work closely with management and department leaders on staffing and employee-related matters.
Support the implementation and improvement of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.
Qualifications

Previous experience in Human Resources, recruitment, or a related position.
Strong understanding of HR processes, employee relations, and employment practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR/recruitment software.
Ability to work onsite in Elk Grove Village, IL.
Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is a plus.
