Direct Support Professional
We're looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
Part Time/On Call: Required 1 shift per pay period, with occasional 1:1 support on weekends (approx 12p-4pm)
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt Hiring Range: Program Rate = $18.00$21.00/hour (Higher wages are based on experience, education, certifications, etc.), Sleep/Overnight Rate: $11.41/hour
Position Overview: As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Program Counselor, you will play a key role in empowering individuals, promoting independence, and fostering inclusion in a residential and community setting. You'll provide proactive, person-centered support through guidance, training, and meaningful engagement. Responsibilities include assisting with daily routines and personal cares, encouraging problem-solving skills, and covering shifts at various locations as needed to ensure consistent, high-quality support.
Implement person-centered supports, empowering individuals to achieve their long and short-term aspirations.
Foster positive interactions with individuals, peers, family, and the community.
Document activities, services, and progress in accordance with policies and regulations.
Support individuals' medical needs, including accompanying them to appointments, administering medication, and providing necessary personal cares.
Promote community integration and socialization through varied leisure activities.
Assist individuals with financial tasks, promoting cost-effective buying skills.
Attend required trainings, stay informed about updates, and review training materials.
Must be at least 18 years old.
High School proficiency in reading and writing English.
Ability to perform physical tasks and perform mobility support.
Successful completion of Medication Administration Training course provided by Thomas Allen inc.
