Subacute Hospitalist Director

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Subacute Hospitalist Director to support our Skilled Nursing Facilities in New Jersey. This leadership opportunity offers physicians the ability to combine clinical excellence with administrative oversight while practicing within the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey.

The Subacute Medical Director will oversee the delivery of high-quality medical care across affiliated Skilled Nursing Facilities. This role includes the management of post-acute and chronic medical conditions, development and supervision of patient care plans, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes and continuity of care.

The Medical Director will provide leadership and oversight for subacute providers, promote clinical quality initiatives, and support operational excellence within participating facilities.

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of NJ Additional training and/or certification in Geriatrics preferred Flexibility to travel between Skilled Nursing Facilities Ability to participate in a shared group call model

Minimum 5+ years of clinical experience Strong clinical leader with experience driving improvements in quality and safety Commitment to academic excellence including prior experience in resident education and clinical research ABIM Certified All candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey Candidate should have exceptional interpersonal skills, strong clinical background and keen understanding of how to drive and maintain clinical quality standards
