Process Engineering Associate I

As an industry leader serving the food and dairy industries, APT is seeking an Associate Process Engineer to support our growing and dynamic business. In this role, you’ll work closely with Project Engineers and Managers to support the drafting, design, estimation, installation, and commissioning of process systems tailored to customer needs. You will also assist with developing AutoCAD and 3D drawings to support system layout and equipment design. This position offers professional growth and exposure to the full project lifecycle within a collaborative, engineering-focused environment.

Partner with Project Engineers in establishing relationships with customers to better understand their engineering needs and lead the project to completion.
Assist with developing and managing the project schedule.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop the project scope & deliverables.
Estimate project costs and develop the proposal for the customer.
Design processes for the customer’s needs, ideally increasing production rate, volumes, efficiency, etc. per project plan.
Collaborate with the mechanical design team for fabricating new equipment.
Assist with start-up and commissioning of new processes and equipment.
Associate degree in drafting or equivalent years of related experience.

• 1+ years’ experience with AutoCAD or 3D.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Strong demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
• Travel up to 30%.
