Description:
This position requires working in a moderate care unit focused on heart and vascular patients.
The unit will cater to low acuity critical care patients awaiting placement in dedicated ICU or stepdown units.
No ventilators or certain advanced devices will be accepted in this unit.
LVADs, 2-4 drips, arterial lines, and PA catheters will be accommodated.
The unit will also serve as an observation area for patients who require extended monitoring after same-day procedures.
This fast-paced environment will involve high patient turnover and diverse diagnoses.
It is an excellent opportunity for learning about various cardiovascular procedures and diagnoses.
Working here will help develop organizational skills and critical thinking.
It also provides a chance to enhance critical care skills and improve assessment abilities.
A rhythm identification test will be required once employment begins, with two chances to pass.
