Field Service Engineer I

Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour

Shift: Possible night shift for Taylor, TX coverage

Travel: Occasional overnight travel to client’s factory, training facilities, and customer locations may be required.

Must focus on quality, use of PPE, LOTO; work on a construction site; safety is a priority.

Must show proficiency in quality, be able to verify & meet specs to the ML.

At least 2 years experience in maintenance, repair & troubleshooting on tools and installs in the semiconductor industry.

Onsite at Samsung Austin, possibly at Taylor site.

Possible night shift for Taylor, TX coverage.

No degree if 5+ years of experience and HS diploma.

Perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment.

Troubleshoot equipment problems.

Coordinate activities with peers, supervisor(s), and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions.

Order and install parts.

Respond to emergency service calls as required.

Instruct customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance.

Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed.

Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials.

Incumbents responsible for upkeep, maintenance, and security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc.

Maintain standards of conduct acceptable to both TEA and customers to maintain credentials for being on customer site(s).

Associate's degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study; Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology preferred.

0+ years previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.

Excellent customer interface skills required.

Mechanical aptitude required as well as an ability to use appropriate tools.

Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures required.

Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds; May require use of Personal Protective Equipment.

Application of proper industry safety procedures when working with dangerous elements or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc.

Occasional travel to factories, training facilities and customer locations may be required.

Job duties may require walking up to and in excess of 10,000 steps and walking up/down multiple flights of stairs per shift (12 hours).
