Head of Operations Management (m/w/d)

We are looking for a dedicated Operations Executive to support the day‑to‑day operations of our service apartment. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth operations, high service standards, and positive guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities & Maintenance Management
Oversee the daily upkeep, repairs, and maintenance of hostel buildings, rooms, common areas, and equipment.
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and areas for improvement.
Coordinate and supervise repair work with in‑house technicians and external contractors.
Manage inventory of furnishings, fixtures, and maintenance supplies.
Ensure 24/7 functionality of critical services (electricity, water, heating/cooling, Wi‑Fi).
Housekeeping Management
Supervise the housekeeping team to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas.
Implement and monitor cleaning schedules and checklists.
Manage laundry facility operations and linen supply.
Enforce cleanliness policies in common kitchens, lounges, bathrooms, and outdoor areas.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure facility complies with all health, safety, and fire regulations.
Conduct regular fire drills and safety trainings for staff and residents.
Maintain first‑aid supplies and emergency response protocols.
Keep accurate records of incidents, maintenance logs, and inspection reports.
Student Support & Communication
Serve as a primary point of contact for students regarding facilities‑related issues.
Address resident complaints or requests in a timely and professional manner.
Communicate policies and updates regarding facilities, maintenance schedules, or disruptions.
Foster a respectful and community‑oriented living environment.
Administration & Reporting
Prepare monthly reports on maintenance activities, expenditures, and incident summaries.
Requirements
General Certificate or Diploma in a related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in service apartments, hospitality, or facilities management.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Willingness to work flexible shifts.
Mandarin‑speaking ability required to support an environment with international Chinese students.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
Knowledge of housekeeping, maintenance operations, safety, hygiene, and infection control.
Detail‑oriented with a strong commitment to service quality and service recovery.
Willing to undergo training and skills development.
