Maintenance Electrician (Journeyman) | Full Time

Responsible for general electrical work required for installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical equipment and systems necessary for construction, renovation, or maintenance in designated County buildings.
Performs all duties required to install, estimate time and materials, maintain, or repair electrical equipment and systems in County buildings.

Five (5) years of hands-on experience in commercial or residential electrical work.

Understand and follow oral and written instructions thoroughly, neatly, and promptly, and be skilled in reading and building from blueprints.
Understand and have thorough knowledge of electrical tools and codes, and display mechanical aptitude.
Emergency Deployment & Continuity of Operations Requirement:
In accordance with Harris County's Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) Policy, this position is subject to emergency response and deployment protocols. Be available for temporary deployment to an alternative work location, role, or telework assignment during emergency events.
Remain flexible in assuming alternative duties as directed to support County operations continuity.
