Title: Associate Professor or Full Professor without Tenure, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Immunology, Center for Immunity and Immunotherapies (CIIT)

Position Description
The Department of Pediatrics, at the University of Washington School of Medicine and the Center for Immunity and Immunotherapies (CIIT) in the Seattle Children’s Research Institute (SCRI) is recruiting a full time Associate Professor (without tenure by reason of funding) or Professor (without tenure by reason of funding). The position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be on the faculty‑scientist pathway. Anticipated start date is Fall/Winter 2024.

This position will be expected to conduct basic or translational laboratory‑based research in an area relevant to human or mouse immune cell development and/or function, including but not limited to immunodeficiencies, immune dysregulation, cell therapies, genetic engineering, in vivo delivery, genomics, or imaging.

All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

Associate Professors and Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12‑month service period (July 1‑June 30). Faculty with 12‑month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12‑month period (July‑June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.

The base salary range for this position will be: Associate Professors MD $15,783‑$23,674 per month ($189,398‑$284,098 annually), Professors MD $17,929.50‑$26,893.66 per month ($215,154‑$322,724 annually), Associate Professors Non‑MD $8,991.75‑$13,487.58 per month ($107,901‑$161,851 annually), Professors Non‑MD $12,058‑$18,087 per month ($144,696‑$217,044 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.

Qualifications
Requires an M.D. or D.O., or foreign equivalent. A Ph.D. in a relevant field, or M.D./Ph.D. combined (or foreign equivalent), is also acceptable.

In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non‑U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
