Job Title: Cost Accountant and Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Description

Join a leading manufacturer of innovative lab supplies and instruments as a Cost Accountant and Accounts Payable Specialist. This role requires you to maintain accurate product costing and analysis while managing the accounts payable process. You will support monthly financial closes, ensure timely vendor payments, maintain precise financial records, and collaborate with the operations team to enhance cost efficiency. Manage vendor inquiries and communicate effectively to resolve any billing issues.

Process checks, ACH, wire, and online payments.

Process RNI receipts and check item ledger entries.

Assist with AP reconciliations and accruals.

Maintain financial records and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

Analyze material, labor, shipping, and overhead variances.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

Experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.

Proficiency in accounting and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.

Experience in Business Central (Microsoft 365) would be a major plus.

Credit card comfortability.

2+ years of Accounts Payable experience.

Experience with Microsoft ERP systems.

Accounts Receivable knowledge would be advantageous.

You will be part of a team of 4, including the Controller, Staff Accountant, and Sr. Collections. The role is onsite initially, with potential for remote flexibility.
