Cost Accountant
Location: On-site Burlington, NJ
We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join a growing manufacturing organization. This role partners closely with operations, plant leadership, supply chain, and finance to drive accurate cost reporting, improve profitability, and support strategic business decisions.
Maintain and update standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead within the ERP system

Analyze material, labor, overhead, purchase price, and production variances, providing actionable insights

Support month-end and year-end close activities related to inventory, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing accounts

Monitor work-in-process (WIP), raw materials, finished goods valuation, and inventory reserves

Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts, including reconciliations and reporting

Prepare cost, margin, productivity, and operational performance reports

Partner with operations, engineering, procurement, and supply chain to improve costing accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities

Develop new product costing, including bills of materials (BOMs) and manufacturing cost analysis

Provide financial support for freight, warehousing, tariffs, and other operational cost areas

Recommend process improvements to strengthen internal controls and reporting efficiency

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• 2–5+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Manufacturing cost accounting
• Inventory accounting
• Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Advanced Excel skills
