Lead the Business Side of a High-Performing Law Firm

Boyce Law Firm, LLP is seeking a Director of Operations to provide leadership for the Firm's administrative and support functions while serving as a trusted partner to Firm leadership. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced operations professional to make a meaningful impact and help shape the future of Sioux Falls' oldest law firm.

The Director of Operations will oversee non-attorney personnel, human resources administration, operational workflow, vendor relationships, and key administrative functions. The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader who enjoys building strong teams, improving performance, and creating an environment where employees and attorneys can do their best work.

Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards.

Conduct performance evaluations and employee development discussions.

Oversee onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, and policy administration.

Serve as a resource for employee relations, workplace concerns, and performance management.

Operations & Business Management

Manage day-to-day administrative operations and workflow.

Partner and oversee outsourced vendors and service providers, including accounting, payroll, marketing, technology, and other administrative partners.

Coordinate information for payroll, budgeting, financial reporting, and administrative functions.

Monitor administrative processes for accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.

Recommend solutions that strengthen efficiency, service quality, and employee performance.

Help ensure attorneys receive the administrative support necessary to focus on serving clients and growing the practice.

We're seeking a confident and approachable leader who combines strong business acumen with excellent people-management skills.

Bachelor's degree required.

Five or more years of leadership, operations management, or business administration experience.

Demonstrated success leading teams and improving organizational performance.

Experience managing employee performance, workplace issues, and operational processes.

Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to lead and champion change, influence accountability, and drive continuous improvement.

Experience within a law firm is highly desirable but not required.
