Physical / Occupational Therapist Consultant

The Periscope Group is seeking therapists to work as independent contractors in Modesto, CA and surrounding areas to provide per diem consulting services.
The Periscope Group has a network of physical and occupational therapists around the country who perform one time only, in-home medical necessity assessments. These assessments provide objective recommendations to health plans about the equipment and services their members need to safely complete their activities of daily living and remain functionally independent in their home. We do not provide patient care, only consulting services. Documentation is simple and completed via secure online portal; Our accurate, timely, and objective reports have assisted medical management teams to manage their most vulnerable populations. Our services are now offered in 43 states serving all demographics and all lines of business.
The success of our program is the result of our expertise - a national network of licensed clinicians (physical, occupational, speech therapists, prosthetists, and nurses) - and a unique two-tiered medical necessity review process. Our technology platform provides a secure, compliant solution for clinicians and customers to communicate and collaborate. We deliver objective, in-home data to accurately determine medical need, and apply coverage criteria so medical management can confidently make benefit decisions.
Perform one-time comprehensive medical need assessments in an individual's home.
Provide recommendations for equipment, service, and care needs
Continuing education benefits and opportunities for professional growth through a training and mentoring program
Become part of a nationwide network of expert consultants
Current licensure as a Physical or Occupational Therapist (Sorry, No PTAs or COTAs).
Experience with durable medical equipment, assistive technology and home modifications
Excellent communication skills both verbally and writing
