Head of Marketing and Advertising

Salary: $55,000 annual salary
Position Summary The Marketing Manager supports the development and execution of marketing strategies that strengthen the organization's brand, promote its programs and events, support membership and revenue goals, and communicate the organization's impact across Southwest Florida.
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, this position manages day-to-day marketing activities and transforms complex information into clear, engaging, and actionable content for a variety of audiences. The ideal candidate is an organized, creative, and collaborative marketing professional who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining consistent messaging and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities Marketing and Campaign Execution Implement marketing plans and campaigns under the direction of the Vice President of Marketing.
Develop marketing materials that effectively promote memberships, sponsorships, events, programs, and organizational initiatives.
Coordinate campaign timelines, deliverables, approvals, and distribution.
Monitor campaign performance and recommend adjustments to improve engagement and results.
Maintain the organization's marketing calendar and ensure deadlines are met.
Content Development Translate complex information into concise, compelling content for business leaders, members, partners, and community stakeholders.
Write and edit content for emails, newsletters, websites, social media, presentations, advertisements, event materials, and promotional pieces.
Maintain a consistent organizational voice across all communications.
Collect stories, testimonials, data, and program results that demonstrate the organization's value and impact.
Digital Marketing Manage day-to-day website content and ensure information remains accurate and current.
Create, schedule, and monitor social media content across organizational platforms.
Build and distribute email marketing campaigns.
Track website traffic, email engagement, social media performance, and other marketing metrics.
Prepare regular performance reports for the Vice President of Marketing.
Brand and Creative Coordination Maintain brand standards across all organizational materials and platforms.
Create or coordinate the production of graphics, digital content, presentations, advertisements, signage, and event collateral.
Work with external vendors, photographers, printers, designers, and media partners as needed.
Organize and maintain the organization's library of photos, videos, templates, logos, and marketing assets.
Review materials for accuracy, quality, and brand consistency before distribution.
Event and Program Marketing Develop and execute promotional plans for events, programs, membership initiatives, sponsorship opportunities, and special projects.
Coordinate with the events, membership, partnerships, and program teams to gather information and meet promotional deadlines.
Support on-site marketing, photography, signage, sponsor recognition, and social media coverage at organizational events.
Ensure sponsorship and partnership recognition requirements are fulfilled accurately.
Team and Organizational Support Collaborate across departments to understand marketing needs and develop effective solutions.
Maintain organized project files, content calendars, production schedules, and vendor information.
Support media relations, public announcements, and community communications as directed.
Perform other duties and special projects assigned by the Vice President of Marketing.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, business, or a related field.
Three to five years of professional marketing or communications experience.
Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to simplify complex information and communicate it clearly.
Experience managing email marketing, websites, social media, and digital campaigns.
Working knowledge of graphic design platforms such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong organizational and project-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail and commitment to producing polished, accurate work.
Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of assigned projects.
Preferred Qualifications Experience working with a chamber of commerce, economic development organization, nonprofit, association, government agency, or membership-based organization.
Experience marketing events, memberships, sponsorships, or professional programs.
Familiarity with customer relationship management systems and email marketing platforms.
Experience with photography, video production, digital advertising, or media relations.
