Phlebotomist (Lab Tech) (Full-time) (Nights)

Phlebotomist Tech I/CourierCorrectly performs patient identification, venipuncture/capillary collection technique, and specimen labeling. Correctly performs special phlebotomy procedures. Laboratory Competency and Education Requirements. Compliance with Laboratory Safety Policies & Procedures. Demonstrates adequate knowledge of the hospital and laboratory computer systems. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to appropriately encounter individuals (patients, visitors, coworkers, medical staff and others) in a variety of situations and circumstances. Current Drivers License with no major citations, able to be covered under AMC auto insurance. Encouraged to become certified by ASCP or a similar qualifying agency (qualification determined by the Administrative Director) after one year of experience at JDAMH. Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of in-house training.Medical / Dental. Retirement Plan.
