We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Overnight Cook to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort team! You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic culinary experiences for our guests.

Reporting to the Sous Chef, you will support and provide excellent service within our culinary department. This high-volume position requires a passion for culinary arts and a service-oriented attitude.

Manages themselves during non-peak hours to work on prep, cleaning projects, and any additional assignments.

Work with a sense of urgency while maintaining Forbes 5 star standards ensuring food is expedited to guest rooms with time parameters.

Inventory stock levels and ensure ingredients and stored properly. Team Collaboration: Work with other staff to ensure smooth operations during the overnight shift.

Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.

Cook, Plate food, and prepare recipes according to established standards.

Good working knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation.

Knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment, i.e., Sufficient manual dexterity of hand to use all kitchen equipment, i.e., Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.

Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator.

Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish.

Maintain food logs.

Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared.

Communicate assistance needed during busy periods.

Inform Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials.

Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.

Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.

Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.

Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.

Must have at least 3 years of related work experience.
