Position OverviewThe Bookkeeper will play an important role in supporting the financial operations of R3 Heating & Air. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily bookkeeping activities, and ensuring financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, identifies discrepancies, and helps maintain efficient and accurate financial processes.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.Process vendor invoices, payments, and customer billing accurately and efficiently.Record, categorize, and reconcile financial transactions.Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.Monitor outstanding customer balances and assist with collections and payment follow-up.Maintain accurate and organized financial records and supporting documentation.Assist with month-end closing procedures and preparation of financial reports.Track company expenses, vendor payments, and financial transactions.Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.Assist with payroll-related documentation and reporting as needed.Support leadership with financial reporting, expense tracking, and budget-related information.Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding billing and payment matters.Coordinate with outside accounting professionals when necessary.Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and company information.Recommend improvements to bookkeeping procedures and financial processes.QualificationsRequired:Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a closely related role.Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations.Experience using QuickBooks or comparable accounting software.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Preferred:Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience in HVAC, construction, plumbing, electrical, or another service-based industry.Experience with job costing, service billing, or project-based accounting.Familiarity with payroll processing and financial reporting.Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.Consistent Monday–Friday work schedule.Stable, full-time, in-office position.A workplace built around Loyalty, Accountability, and Community.We want a dependable professional who takes pride in accuracy, stays organized, communicates effectively, and understands the importance of keeping financial operations running smoothly.Join the R3 Heating & Air team in Davenport, Iowa, and help support the continued growth of our company!Exceptional Quality: Dedicate yourself to ongoing learning, personal development, and daily refinement.Customer DedicationEmpathic Perspective: Serve as a trusted, knowledgeable guide for those we assist.Ensure every commitment is thoroughly fulfilled to the customer's complete contentment.AccountabilityPersonal Responsibility: Accept complete ownership of operational performance and final outcomes.
