Department/Unit:Adult Cardiac Cath LabWork Shift:Day (United States of America)Salary Range:$77,075.00 - $119,466.00Invasive Cardiovascular Technologists are allied health professionals who performs diagnostic examinations at the request or direction of an Interventional Cardiologist during invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and/or peripheral vascular study procedures. Through subjective data collection and recording, the technologist obtains information from which a correct anatomical and physiological diagnosis may be established for each patient.Hourly Range: $26.36 - $42.18Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesActively involved in all phases of the peri-procedural process.Manipulates procedural instrumentation under the direct supervision of the Interventional Cardiologist.Responsible for supplies, and equipment necessary during the invasive cardiology procedure.Anticipates the needs of the Interventional Cardiologist.Constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.Able to function independently for basic procedures and with minimal supervision of a senior technologist in the scrub role during advanced and highly complex procedures, and function as a circulator under the supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse (RN).Requires emergency on-call duties.QualificationsAssociate's Degree - requiredGraduate of an approved Cardiovascular Training Program - requiredGraduate from an accredited Allied Health Program. - required1-3 years in the cardiovascular specialty. - requiredDemonstrates familiarity with and working knowledge of normal vs. abnormal cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, interventional supplies and equipment operation.Able to anticipate and prepare for the necessary treatment if adverse events occur intra procedure.Able to anticipate and prepare necessary equipment for emergency procedures.RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Upon Hire - requiredABLS - Advanced Burn Life Support Upon Hire - requiredPALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Upon Hire - requiredACLS Upon Hire - requiredThank you for your interest in Albany Med Health System!Albany Med Health System is an equal opportunity employer.This role may require access to information considered sensitive to Albany Med Health System, its patients, affiliates, and partners, including but not limited to HIPAA Protected Health Information and other information regulated by Federal and New York State statutes.
