Through subjective data collection and recording, the technologist obtains information from which a correct anatomical and physiological diagnosis may be established for each patient. Hourly Range: $31.28 - $51.61 **Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Actively involved in all phases of the peri-procedural process.* Manipulates procedural instrumentation under the direct supervision of the Interventional Cardiologist.* Responsible for supplies, and equipment necessary during the invasive cardiology procedure.* Anticipates the needs of the Interventional Cardiologist.* Constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.* Able to function independently for basic procedures and with minimal supervision of a senior technologist in the scrub role during advanced and highly complex procedures, and function as a circulator under the supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse (RN).* Requires emergency on-call duties. **Qualifications*** Associate's Degree - required* Graduate of an approved Cardiovascular Training Program - required* Graduate from an accredited Allied Health Program. - required* 1-3 years in the cardiovascular specialty. - required* Demonstrates familiarity with and working knowledge of normal vs. abnormal cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, interventional supplies and equipment operation.* Able to anticipate and prepare for the necessary treatment if adverse events occur intra procedure.* Able to anticipate and prepare necessary equipment for emergency procedures.* RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Upon Hire - required* ABLS - Advanced Burn Life Support Upon Hire - required* PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Upon Hire - required* ACLS Upon Hire - required Thank you for your interest in Albany Medical Center!
