What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive assessments of inpatient and outpatient physical, cognitive, and functional abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, involving patients and families.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries per department protocols.
• Participate in team meetings, family conferences, and departmental activities.
• Counsel patients and families regarding care plans and discharge procedures.
• Supervise and coordinate Physical Therapist and PTA student programs, as well as volunteers.
• Assist with clinical department operations including patient scheduling and staff supervision.
• Support department quality initiatives and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Maintain awareness of community resources for appropriate referrals.
• Adapt patient care to age-specific, cultural, and individual needs.
• Foster positive relationships with medical staff and referral sources.

What You Need

• Current NM Physical Therapist license
• BLS certification from AHA (American Heart Association)
• At least some clinical experience in physical therapy
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt therapy approaches based on individual patient needs
