Step into an impactful role supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher working with 3rd and 4th grade students in a Setting 3/Center-Based classroom tailored for individuals with Autism and Cognitive Disabilities. This contract position starts September 8, 2026, and runs through June 10, 2027, offering a meaningful chance to make a difference within a caring, collaborative school community.

You’ll guide a caseload of 8 students, delivering individualized academic and social-emotional instruction in a multi-age classroom environment. As the lead educator, you will supervise and mentor two dedicated paraprofessionals and play a vital part in preparing IEPs and evaluations. Collaboration is key—your organizational skills and ability to build strong relationships with both students and team members will be highly valued. If you speak Spanish, your skills will be especially sought after, supporting communication and inclusivity.

Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota Special Education Licensure required
• Previous experience with Autism and Cognitive Disabilities preferred
• Experience writing IEPs and completing evaluations
• Exceptional organizational, leadership, and relationship-building abilities
• Comfortable collaborating with a range of professionals and support staff
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities:
