Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, focusing on understanding patients' trauma histories to inform effective treatment plans.

• Devise and implement individualized treatment strategies that are actionable and focused on the patient’s recovery road map, integrating trauma-informed frameworks.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group therapy settings.

• Guide patients through psychoeducation about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with knowledge about their processes and available resources.

• Offer crisis intervention services, managing urgent situations with empathy and professionalism to support patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation according to all legal and ethical standards, ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with the latest advancements in trauma-focused therapy and best practices in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on working with a diverse client population impacted by varying degrees of trauma. As a Senior Mental Health Counselor, you will support individuals coping with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, guiding them to develop healthy coping strategies and enhancing their resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology obtained from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas is a must.

• Proven 2 years of post-licensure experience relevant to mental health counseling, preferably in trauma-informed care settings.

• Strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and familiarity with various trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of building trust with patients through a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• Ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively, ensuring patient safety and support.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring efficient and accurate patient management.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Allegiance Mental Healthcare offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
