Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity supporting high school students as a Paraprofessional! Working within a resource room setting, you’ll play a vital role in the development and day-to-day success of students who benefit from additional support in their educational journey. Utilize your dedication and adaptability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and students, making a positive impact every day.
The school maintains an efficient and fast-paced interview process, with an initial direct interview scheduled for Friday and potential follow-ups on Monday, 8/24. This is a fantastic chance to engage quickly with students and staff, and to become a valued educational partner.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Paraprofessional, preferably in a high school or resource room setting
- Ability to foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse student populations
- Demonstrated flexibility, patience, and professionalism in daily tasks and student interactions
- Prior experience with special education or supporting students with learning differences is highly desirable
Responsibilities:
- Support the instructional program and help implement educational strategies designed by licensed teachers
- Assist students with classroom activities, assignments, and transitions throughout the school day
- Encourage participation and provide one-on-one or small group assistance as needed
- Maintain a respectful and safe environment for all students
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and support staff to promote academic and social success for every learner
