Work Environment\n

This position offers flexibility, as the work is carried out remotely, allowing you to engage with students and colleagues from the comfort of your home while maintaining a school-based perspective. The work schedule typically runs Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts, rotating weekend availability, and on-call support needed to address urgent student needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to determine the needs of students with diverse special needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting emotional well-being and social integration.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches for ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, ADHD, and trauma.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering personal growth and effective coping strategies among students.

• Collaborate with educators, speech and occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies to ensure student safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate students and families about mental health conditions, resources, and strategies for managing challenges.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations.
\n
• Contribute to team meetings and professional development activities to enhance service delivery.

• Stay updated on relevant laws and ethical guidelines to ensure best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to support students who experience a variety of mental health challenges in a school setting. This includes working closely with students on the autism spectrum, those with learning disabilities, and individuals coping with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Your efforts will directly contribute to fostering a safe and nurturing educational environment that promotes student success.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of New York.

• An understanding of mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits\n
