Base pay range $130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr I'm partnered with a multi-million-dollar, family-owned, leading manufacturer of products in their niche. Located near McHenry, IL, this client is looking to bring on an Accounting Manager due to a long standing employee retiring, and as the organization/team is experiencing immense growth right now! As the Accounting Manager, you will report directly into the President and have full ownership of the Accounting & Finance function, while managing a team of 3 individuals. As the Accounting Manager, you will report directly into the President and have full ownership of the Accounting & Finance function, while managing a team of 3 individuals. Description Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations Manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Oversees inventory processes including valuation, reconciliation, and physical inventory count Prepare internal financial statements and reports for senior management Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and applicable tax laws Lead, mentor, and develop the team of 4 individuals Coordinate external audits and work with auditors to ensure timely completion Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities Support ERP system implementation, upgrades, and data integrity efforts Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business initiatives and financial planning Handle complex journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies Profile Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance 7+ years of experience in Accounting MBA and CPA a plus Managerial experience Month-end close experience Cost Accounting experience Manufacturing experience preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Advanced excel knowledge Advanced time management skills Job Offer Above market compensation 10% bonus potential and profit sharing Ample career progression Leading manufacturer Fast growing company Leading a team Awesome team culture Apply now and your resume will be considered within 24 hours!
