Territory Manager, Companion Animal – Long Island, New York Ceva Animal Health, a global leader in animal health, seeks a self‑motivated, results‑oriented sales driver to manage territory and build strong relationships with veterinary professionals. The role focuses on increasing sales of Ceva’s products to companion animal veterinary practices through consultative and collaborative approaches aligned with the company’s “Together, Beyond Animal Health” mission. Compensation & Location Location: Long Island, NY Base Salary: $80,000–$110,000 Commission: $0–$70,000 Key Responsibilities Prepare and execute a detailed sales plan that prioritizes activities and aligns with territory objectives. Conduct pre‑call planning for each clinic visit, defining clear objectives. Schedule appointments, present sales material, close deals, and take orders, ensuring consistent application of Sales Force Effectiveness principles. Develop a sales plan to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual goals through analysis of sales data, market share, and competitive activity. Track progress against the plan and adjust tactics as necessary. Maintain an effective territory route and segmentation to maximize opportunities and maintain existing customer revenue while prospecting for new business. Contribute to team performance by achieving related sales results for strategic product advocacy. Create confidence in Ceva’s product range and influence the entire healthcare team to recommend and sell Ceva products. Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues, developing solutions, and recommending actions to management. Attend and coordinate events such as local VMAs, KOL dinners, conferences, and tradeshows. Build long‑term strategic relationships with veterinarians and key decision makers within veterinary clinics. Identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions, building partnerships with all clinic staff. Increase dispensing through staff training, promotional activities, incentives, and contests. Partner with and leverage Distribution Sales Representatives (DSRs) for distributor support, enhancing DSR knowledge and planning ride‑along opportunities. Collect and share competitor and market intelligence during customer visits, recommending product and policy changes. Negotiate sales agreements with key buyers in line with Ceva’s commercial policy, collaborating with the Regional Manager for larger accounts. Complete administrative and sales reporting duties, including weekly expense and territory reports, and manage expense budgets. Maintain call notes and track sales activity in the CRM, reporting general market conditions and customer details. Work Experience: 3‑10 years proven track record in outside sales, preferably in a fast‑paced B2B environment. Uses analytics and insights to enhance decision‑making and tactical execution. Follow‑through and attention to detail. Ability to manage assigned expense budgets. Highly focused and results‑oriented, able to identify goals and priorities and resolve issues early. Must have an acceptable driving record and be willing to spend 8+ hours per day in a vehicle. Physical Requirements Ability to travel via plane or car for up to 8 hours per day. Must possess the ability to read, speak and understand English. Working Conditions The primary work location is making sales calls within veterinary clinics. Must be comfortable working around animals. Travel Required Overnight travel required; the amount varies by territory.
