Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct tailored therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families, addressing diverse psychological and relational issues such as anxiety, depression, conflict resolution, and communication problems.

• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Narrative Therapy.

• Document and maintain thorough client records that comply with HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

• Regularly participate in supervision sessions and professional development opportunities to stay current with industry best practices and emerging therapeutic methods.

• Engage in regular team meetings to discuss case progress, share insights, and collaborate with colleagues on innovative approaches to client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients come from various backgrounds and present a wide range of mental health challenges. As an LMFT at Desmond Couple Therapy, you'll support individuals, couples, and families looking to improve their relationships and overall mental well-being. You will work closely with clients facing issues such as marital discord, at-risk youth, parental conflicts, and grief and trauma, ensuring a holistic approach to their care.

Qualifications\n

• A valid LMFT license in the state of Oregon is required (LCSW or LPC also accepted). Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.

• Two years of clinical experience working in a therapeutic setting is essential, demonstrating a strong foundation in therapeutic practices and client management.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with clients, providing compassionate, evidence-based care.

• An understanding and comfort level with both in-person and virtual therapy formats, aided by proficiency in telehealth platforms.

Compensation and Benefits\n
